Dear Levy-Lakeside Parents:
On behalf of the entire staff of the Norman J. Levy-Lakeside School, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your children. Our school serves over 700 students with differentiated needs and talents. We are proud to be a community of kind, caring, and excited learners who strive to reach their academic, social, and emotional potential.
I am excited to be in my new role as the Principal of “Lakeside”, as I start my twentieth year in the district. I served as a classroom teacher for thirteen years and as assistant principal at “Lakeside” for the last six years. Mr. Sean Murray joins me as the new assistant principal and is equally as excited to join in this new journey to support you and your children. Our dedicated and experienced staff of teachers, teacher assistants, and support personnel is dedicated to providing every child with the best possible education.
At Levy-Lakeside, we provide all children with a well rounded curriculum that is aligned to, but also far surpasses, New York State Standards. Ours is an inclusive program, in which resources are provided to all children with high expectations for success.
Close cooperation between home and school is an essential ingredient for growth. I encourage all parents and students to become involved in all school activities. We maintain a secure and nurturing environment as well as a respectful community of learners.
